A 260,000 sq ft bespoke state of the art facility for Butchers Pet Care Ltd forming their new UK headquarters and distribution warehouse as well as their main production centre. The site required major earthworks to form the building plateau together with the diversion of a river to form a new bio diverse corridor through the site.

MJMC Highways were appointed by Gazeley Properties to provide highway engineering services for both S278 works to an existing roundabout and surrounding network along with design of private access road to serve a multi-phase development.

The private access road was designed and constructed to adoptable standards with a view to potential future adoption and included some 800m of new highway including a new roundabout and several plot access junctions.

The S278 works included improvements to the existing roundabout from which the new development is served as well as works to upgrade the surrounding pedestrian/cyclist facilities.

In addition to MJMC Highways undertaking the S278 design MJM were also commissioned by Gazeley Properties to provide civil and structural design services for the plots developed on the scheme to date.
